Game report

Slovenian players got an opportunity of a power play after 40 seconds, when Guzman got a minor penalty for tripping, but Brazilians killed this penalty. The very same player could make up this penalty to his team when he shot a good try on Pavlic, who almost drop the puck, which stopped on the goal line. Also Brazilians did not convert their power play into the opening goal, so visitors had to wait for it till the 24th minute. But after this moment, a goal festival was about to start.

Slovenian opened the score with even 3 goals in only 5 minutes. Sotlar scored 2 goals and Krivic added one more. Brazilians found a respond in Guilardi goal, but this was everything from their side. Slovenian added another 4 more. Vedlin took back a 3-goal-lead in the 36th minute, then Simcic punished Andrade´s penalty. In the 44th minute, Vendlin scored his 2nd goal in the game and the very last word belonged to Kralj, who set the final score to 7-1.

Reactions

Ales Fajdiga (Slovinsko): It was a tough game for us to be honest. Brazil started really well, they had good tactics. We couldn’t score for a long time because of their good defense even though we had some chances. We really controlled the puck most of the time, but unfortunately we couldn’t score for a long time.

Jeffrey Prime (Brazil): They have a talented team. We tried to focus on defense in the first half to keep the scoreline low, but since they scored some goals, we had to open the game a bit and they proved their talent and quality.
