Participants include exotic Brazilian team

While in ice hockey teams from South America have, so far, only been able to dream about taking part in the elite division of the World Championships, they have belonged to the best inline hockey has to offer. Brazil will participate as the sole South-American nation this year in Pardubice.

Last time Brazil was in the elite division of the inline hockey world championship was 2010 when they opened the tournament by winning two games, but lost the three that followed and failed to avoid relegation. This year, Brazil is back and is looking forward to battle with their preliminary stage rivals from Austria, Hungary and Japan.

The biggest success of Team Brazil came back in 2007 when the country won gold in the elite division. Between 2003 and 2009, Brazil was able to rack up six medals and now is looking to get back where it belongs.
