We want to win the gold! says proudly Canadian attacker Chris Terry

Here arrived sixteen teams to play World championship in Pardubice, one of them is Canada. Inline hockey players from country where was hockey born are considered one of the most favored team in the tournament. Everybody knows Canada is a good team and their players know i too. They believe to win gold in the Czech republic.

What are your ambitions in this tournament?
We want to win the gold!

How strong is your team in your eyes?
Our team is pretty strong, we have good group of guys from the last year and some new guys that are going to add some value and we should be able to match against all our opponents.

Do you expect your first game against Germany to be difficult one?
Yeah, I don´t think there is an easy game in this tournament and Germans are always well-coached team, so we have to be ready.

You are going to play Sweden and Finland in following matches, what do you think about these games?
They are very strong teams, we played them both last year and we eventually lost to Sweden in the semifinal, so we want to avenge that lost and hopefully come out on top.

You won the championship two years ago, is it big motivation to win it again?
Of course, we always want to come out winning our last game, so hopefully it´s a gold medal and thats what we are striving for.

You are considered to be one of the strongest teams in this tournament, do you think fans in Canada expect good results from you?
Yeah, I mean hockey was born in Canada and we play hockey, so any kind of hockey tournament we go to, we are expected to win.

Is it difficult to skip from playing on the ice to inline hockey?
The first couple of times its different, but I have played roller for quite a few years now, so once I have a practice under my belt I feel pretty good.

You have played ten games with Carolina Hurricanes this season, what stopped you from playing more?
Its not really up to me (smiles), its a question on our management, but hopefully next year I´ll be there whole year.
