Slovenia comfortably moves to Division I finals

Team Slovenia scored twelve goals and comfortably beat Team Latvia in semifinals of Division I and is set to face Australia in Saturday´s final.

Although, Latvians made a great enter for the game and opened the score thanks to Ogorodnikovs, the next minutes belonged to the Team Slovenia. In the 6th minute, the game was tied by Sotlar and his short-handed goal. Till the very first siren, Slovenians also managed to take the leading – 16 seconds before it Vedlin fired from the left circle and did not give the goalie a chance. The next part of the game clearly belonged to Slovenians. 5 goals were scored in only 7 minutes. Twice it was Koren, the second goal in the game also scored Vedlin and they were followed by Kralj and Berlisk.

Not even the break slowed Slovenians down. Two bonded goals were scored in the 27th minute (only 26 seconds from each other) and two another scorers were found in the game - Iglicar and Frol. This was not even enough. Slovenians continued and rounded the score to 10 thanks to Erman. The score rested only for 7 minutes and there another goal was – the second in the game by Frol. In the 44th minute, also Latvians made themselves known when Vasilonoks beat Trelc in the net. However, the very last word belonged to Slovenians - Zedin could taste the joy after scoring the goal in this game and the very last one was scored 36 seconds before the end by Vendlin, who completed his hat-trick.
