Game report

The final game was started with very soon with an opening goal. Jure Sotlar got a pass from Krivic in the 2nd minute, skated to the middle of the offensive zone and fired precisely. On the other side, a post was ringing after Best´s shot. A half minute after, Nejc Berlisk found a gap between pads of James and doubled the score. Team Australia found an answer after Cameron Todd´s shot, but Slovenians took the two-goal lead soon back, when Lonar took an advantage after a breakaway.

The great Slovenian start was highlighted also in the 10th minute, when the 4th goal of the team was scored by Kralj. After a short break, two more goals were added by Slovenians thanks to Jure Sotlar, who scored his second goal of the game, and Koren. The audience of this “small” final game saw also a penalty shot, which was turned into a goal by Nejc Sotlar in the 22nd minute.

For the second half of the game, Australians made a substitution in their net, James was replaced by Glass. If this move was meant to be an impulse for the rest of the team, it worked nice because after 29 seconds, Australians scored the second goal when Casaceli tipped Gavin´s shot and the puck found its way between´s Pavlic´s pads. However, Slovenians wanted to prove that the control of the game is in their hands, so Berlisk scored his second goal in the game to calm his teammates down.

The game continued to its last part and in the manner of the previous three. In a goal manner. When Slovenians scored the 9th goal by Erman, Australians responded thanks to Collins and after not even whole minute Slovenians again scored. It was their 10th goal of the game scored by Nejc Sotlar. The last word belonged to Australians. Fitzgerald and Caseceli put home two more shots to make the final score 10-5.
