Finland clashes with Canada in the gold medal game and Mikko Virtala is one of key players on the team. He will be back in Pardubice soon, though, as part of the new Champions Hockey League with his ice hockey club TPS Turku.

By the halftime, it was a three goal difference. However, the Slovaks managed to equalize it and then again in last minute, so the shoot-outs had to decide. Germany was more fortunate and saved the top divison.

Hearts of fans are captured by many different sports other than ice hockey and related fields. However, Team Brazil is present at this year´s IIHF Inline World Championship and despite odds being against them, they can look back at the tournament with a lot of pride.

Both teams were quite even and it went back and forth, with neither managing to get into a lead larger than one goal. They went into the lead in the first quarter and held it the rest of the way. Japan had some good moments as well, but not enough to equalize it.

Sweden scored 12 times and conceded only one goal, which made it a clearly one-sided game. By the end, it was only about how big the goal difference would be.

It wasn’t an easy game for sure, but the Americans took an early lead and when they scored two more in the third quarter, it was pretty much decided.

The tournament host team started its quarter-final against Canada well and held the lead for the most of the time, but this was not enough, as the Canadians proved their will to win and made it through to the semi-finals after a 6-5 shootout win.
